Service Change Manager - Contract

TRIA Recruitment is working with a large, complex enterprise organisation to secure an experienced Service Change Manager for an initial 9-month contract. This role sits at the heart of a high-volume change environment, supporting critical technology services while enabling fast-moving delivery.
The role
You'll be responsible for overseeing and governing technology change across a complex IT estate, ensuring that change is assessed, prioritised, and scheduled effectively with minimal disruption to live services. This is a hands-on role requiring strong stakeholder engagement across suppliers, internal delivery teams, and project functions.
The environment includes a mix of Agile and waterfall delivery, significant BAU change, and frequent releases - ideal for a contractor who thrives under pressure and can add value quickly.
Key responsibilities
Review and assess technology changes to minimise risk to operational IT services
Chair Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and emergency CABs (eCABs)
Own and maintain the forward schedule of change across services and suppliers
Identify and drive resolution of estate-wide change conflicts
Engage with project and platform teams to understand release cadence and service impact
Ensure Change Management processes are executed effectively by suppliers and internal teams
Produce MI and supplier performance reportingRequired experience
Strong, recent experience as a Service / IT Change Manager
Proven ability to manage high volumes of change in complex environments
Solid understanding of ITIL Change Management, ideally ITIL certified
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Confident stakeholder management across multiple suppliers and technical teams
Background in projects and release management
Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
