Business area
The Global Markets e-Trading technology teams are responsible for providing front office technology solutions to the e-Trading clients and desks at BNP Paribas. The Rates/FX Pricing Platform team develops software systems providing Pricing functionality for e-Trading workflows, used globally with major hubs in London, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo.
Job purpose
Managing the team responsible for the design and development of the common pricing platform used across Rates/FX. Providing leadership and oversight for technical leads and developers. Working with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business and technical directions.
Key responsibilities
* Providing technical leadership for the design, development, and innovation of the platform.
* Collaborating with developers, traders, and quants to agree on business requirements and functionalities.
* Interpreting business requirements and facilitating ideation for technical solutions.
* Enforcing bank policy and standards in development and deployment.
* Recruiting and developing new team members.
* Communicating delivery status and milestones to stakeholders.
* Developing relationships across the technology organization for alignment and delivery of business workflows.
Requirements
* Experience leading the design and development of high-availability, distributed platforms in the Front Office Pricing domain.
* Managing and directing small teams of technical experts.
* Providing technical expertise and guidance to developers and overseeing project implementation and BAU enhancements.
* Technical background with preferred experience in server-side C# development.
* Expertise in FX/Rate products.
* Motivated to work directly with traders and research quants.

Desired Skills and Experience
* Experience with Rates platforms and understanding of pricing mechanisms.
* Not interested in Quant Developers.
* C# technical skills; C++ is a bonus.
* Management experience with 12 developers, mostly contractors.
* Good stakeholder management skills.
* Hands-on ability preferred but not essential.
