Tax & Financial Reporting Accountant
Birmingham | up to £75k DOE | Full-Time | Permanent
Looking for a role where you can own tax, influence reporting, and grow into a broader finance position?
We're hiring a qualified accountant to take the lead on UK tax compliance, while gaining increasing exposure to financial reporting and management accounting as the role evolves.
What You'll Be Doing
Tax
-Own UK corporate tax returns and payments on account
-Manage VAT and CIS returns end-to-end
-Prepare current and deferred tax calculations
-Deliver tax disclosures for statutory accounts
-Maintain strong tax controls and support SAO compliance
-Partner with auditors and support IFRS reporting
-Contribute to technical projects (capital allowances, transfer pricing, CIR)
-Spot opportunities to improve processes
Financial Reporting
-Support monthly management accounts
-Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
-Provide clear variance analysis
-Support budgeting and forecasting
-Assist with statutory reporting and year-end audit
-Ensure consistency across tax, statutory, and management reporting
What We're Looking For
-ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
-Strong UK corporate tax experience
-Solid VAT / indirect tax knowledge
-Up-to-date IFRS knowledge
-US GAAP exposure a bonus
