Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for their development. This position requires strong management and leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. Pay and hours per week are negotiable.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's best interests.
* Assist in the administration of basic first aid when necessary.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential.
* A Level 3 in Childcare is preferred for this role.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Management or leadership experience is preferred to help guide activities and support fellow staff members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 7 per week
