Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Daventry, seeking a committed English Instructor to join their team from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident in delivering English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a passion for helping students grow in confidence, skill, and enjoyment of the subject.
The Role:
1. Teach engaging and structured English lessons using provided schemes of work alongside your own creativity
2. Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
3. Differentiate lessons to support mixed-ability groups, including SEND and SEMH learners
4. Work closely with the English department and pastoral teams to drive student progress
5. Provide clear, constructive feedback and maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment
About You:
6. Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
7. Experience supporting or teaching secondary-aged students
8. Confident classroom presence with excellent communication skills
9. Adaptable, patient, and committed to helping every student reach their potential
10. A degree in English or a related field is desirable; tutoring or school-based experience is an advantage
