Junior Pre-Sales Engineer – Connectivity, Networking & Security City of London – Hybrid (3 days on-site) £40,000–£45,000 Bonus An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Pre-Sales Engineer to join a fast-growing technology managed service provider in the City of London. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in networking and connectivity who is eager to transition into a client-facing pre-sales position. You don’t need to already be in pre-sales – you may currently be in technical support, a NOC, or an engineering role and be looking for the chance to move into pre-sales and develop your commercial skill set. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to technologies across connectivity, Wi-Fi, LAN, and security, with a particular focus on Fortinet and Cisco Meraki, while building confidence in demos, documentation, and customer presentations. This is a development-focused role with structured training, mentorship, and a clear career progression path. What you’ll do Join customer meetings alongside Sales to support discovery, qualification, and solution development Support the sales team with scoping solutions, preparing proposals, and delivering demos Design and present technical solutions across connectivity, LAN/Wi-Fi, and security Produce technical documentation and support the creation of commercial proposals Translate customer needs into clear, scalable solutions aligned to the service portfolio Work closely with Sales, Delivery, and Product teams to ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to delivery Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in networking and security What I’m looking for Experience in a technical or customer-facing role (technical support, NOC, network engineering, or junior pre-sales) Solid understanding of IP networking and one or more of the following: LAN and Wi-Fi design/deployment Business internet and connectivity solutions Fortinet security (e.g., firewalls, SD-WAN) Cisco Meraki networking/security What’s on offer Salary: £40,000–£45,000 performance-based bonus Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 remote) Clear career path to becoming a fully-fledged Pre-Sales Engineer Structured training, mentorship, and support from senior colleagues
