In-House Legal Counsel (6 Month FTC)
Newcastle | Part-time (4 days) | Hybrid (2 days onsite)
I’m working exclusively with a global, private equity-backed technology business in the construction sector that is going through a period of transformation and growth.
They are seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join on a 6-month fixed-term contract to provide continuity following the departure of a long-standing senior team member.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on in-house position supporting across:
* Commercial contracts (customer and supplier)
* GDPR, privacy and compliance matters
* Day-to-day legal advisory work across the business
* Stakeholder engagement across UK teams
* Liaison with US-based external counsel where required
This is a role for someone who can step into a live environment, pick things up quickly, and provide clear, pragmatic legal advice.
About You
* UK qualified solicitor with strong commercial legal experience
* Proven experience drafting and negotiating contracts
* Solid understanding of data protection and GDPR
* Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving business
* Available immediately or on short notice
