Job Description:
Inter Recruitment is seeking a talented Senior Construction Estimator to join their clients team in Mansfield. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in calculating estimated costs and gains for construction projects. Your analytical mindset and ability to pay meticulous attention to detail will help enhance our strategic planning and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, preparing detailed reports, and fostering relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand project requirements and specifications.
* Conduct site visits to gather necessary information and documentation.
* Select appropriate metrics to provide valid estimates.
* Review project documents and consult with experts to gather data.
* Analyze data to produce precise forecasts and conduct risk analysis.
* Prepare detailed proposals or bids for review and submission.
* Negotiate advantageous contracts by evaluating offers from vendors.
* Build and maintain relationships with key subcontractors and partners.
* Managing a team of 6.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a construction estimator in a senior role.
* Strong understanding of project management and accounting concepts.
* Expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
* Proficient in the use of estimation software and technology.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational skills and reliability are essential.
* BSc/BA degree in engineering, construction science, or a relevant field.
* Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar is an advantage.
* Experience managing a team.
