Job Profile
A key role within the CTO COO team, the Senior Finance Manager will lead all financial management activities for the Enterprise Infrastructure area - across an annual P&L budget of approximately $900 million USD spanning around 18 countries.
Enterprise Infrastructure is at the core of HSBC's Chief Technology Office (CTO), responsible for operating, maintaining, and transforming the technology infrastructure used by the bank to run applications and services, including servers, storage, databases, mainframe, middleware, internal cloud, and automation technologies.
In this role, you will:
* Lead all financial management activities for Enterprise Infrastructure, covering expenses and internal customer charges including:
o Annual planning, budgeting, and target setting
o Monthly financial forecasting with high accuracy
o Tracking actuals versus forecast and targets, investigating and resolving variances
o Monthly reporting
o Accrual management
* Manage a team of 2 FTE directly and provide leadership, direction, and coaching to a wider team of approximately 30 FTE globally.
* Engage with stakeholders such as Managing Director & Executive Committee, COO, CTO CFO, Local Financial Controllers, Operations, Cost Management, and Procurement.
* Continuously improve COO processes.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* Experience in finance business partnering or similar roles
* Experience managing financials across multiple countries (preferred)
* Experience leading a global team and managing large data sets
* Proficiency with financial analysis tools, especially Excel; experience with Apptio IT Planning or similar is a plus
* Strong communication skills, collaborative, credible, methodical, with ability to present data effectively
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and work independently
* Experience in Financial Services and/or Technology sectors is advantageous
