The Role
This is a senior academic leadership position combining strategic oversight with high-quality classroom teaching. As Director of Humanities, you will set the direction for curriculum development, staff performance and enrichment across the faculty.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading curriculum planning and sequencing across History, Geography and Politics
• Teaching History through to A-Level
• Driving examination performance and academic stretch
• Line managing subject leads within the faculty
• Developing enrichment opportunities such as lecture series, academic trips and debating initiatives
• Contributing to whole-school academic strategy
The role includes appropriate leadership time to focus on faculty development and long-term planning.
