A highly regarded 2-form entry primary school in Hanwell is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from April on a 12-month contract, with the option to extend.
This is a rare opportunity to teach in a well-structured Early Years setting with a small class of 18 pupils, including two children with identified SEN, supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The Role
As Reception Teacher, you will:
Take full class responsibility for a Reception class of 18 pupils
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned to the EYFS framework
Support two pupils with SEN, working closely with the SENCo and TA
Track progress and contribute to assessments and reporting
Attend staff meetings, parent consultations and training sessions
Work collaboratively with the parallel Reception teacher
The school is looking for someone who can quickly build strong routines, create a calm and purposeful learning environment, and maintain high expectations for behaviour and progress.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Hold UK QTS
Have strong experience teaching in EYFS
Demonstrate secure knowledge of phonics and early number
Be confident differentiating for SEN within the classroom
Show strong organisational and classroom management skills
Be able to commit for the 12-month contract
