Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care and education to children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding staff, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of practitioners, providing support and guidance to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
* Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies related to childcare.
* Collaborate with other professionals to enhance the quality of care provided.
* Participate in staff training and development initiatives to promote continuous improvement within the team.
Skills
* Strong management and leadership abilities, with experience in guiding teams effectively.
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for potential off-site activities or visits.
