The role
We are looking for a pro-active and people focused HR Advisor to join our Central Office team to support managers and employees across the wider organisation.
In this varied role, you'll play a key part in shaping a positive employee experience by supporting wellbeing, driving inclusive practices, delivering recruitment activity, and helping the organisation make informed, data-led people decisions.
What you will be doing?
* Building strong, trusted relationships with managers to provide practical and confident HR advice across a range of people matters
* Supporting employee wellbeing through absence management, welfare meetings, occupational health referrals, and proactive wellbeing initiatives
* Leading end-to-end recruitment activity, including job design, advertising, interviewing, and onboarding, as well as supporting wider recruitment campaigns
* Supporting the development, review, and communication of HR policies and procedures
* Identifying learning and development needs and supporting managers to create and implement development plans
* Contributing to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives by promoting inclusive practices and using workforce data to help improve representation and fairness
* Supporting the development of people analytics by maintaining HR data, producing reports, and delivering insights to inform decision-making
* Supporting employee engagement activity, including preparation and delivery of the annual employee survey and follow-up actions
* Using HR systems to accurately maintain employee data and generate reports
* Supporting the wider HR team in delivering key people initiatives and organisational change
* Working closely with GDPR colleagues to ensure employee data is handled securely and in compliance with legislation
What we want from you?
* Experience working in a HR Advisor (or similar) role within a fast-paced environment
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) is desirable
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
* Confident user of HR systems and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
* Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
