About your role
As the Customer Engagement Copywriter - Manager, you’ll write clear, compelling copy that makes meaningful connections with our customers, driving action, measurable results and loyalty. You’ll support both our Personal Investing Investors and Workplace Pension Members.
You’ll work with stakeholders across the business to craft experiences that build trust, drive action and deliver measurable results. From everyday service communications to broader marketing campaigns, your words will make a real impact.
About your role
Write day-to-day customer communications:
* Create operational updates and service messages via email, letters (for customers without email addresses), SMS texts, and service pages on our website.
* Ensure complex or important information is conveyed in a clear, simple, and easy-to-understand way- so that customers can invest with confidence.
Develop marketing content across owned channels:
* Craft hero copy for campaign emails, in-app prompts, tool tips, SMS messages, website updates and organic social posts to support delivery of marketing objectives.
* Guide customers through their journeys with clear, motivating calls to action.
Champion Fidelity’s tone of voice: You’ll champion Fidelity’s tone of voice across everything you write - making sure every message feels human, consistent and aligned with our brand.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: You’ll work closely with a range of internal teams including marketing, digital, product, and compliance – and with External Agencies. Collaborating to shape seamless customer experiences that build trust and deliver measurable. results. You’ll be expected to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, effectively prioritising tasks and aligning stakeholder expectations.
Competitor Analysis and Benchmarking: You’ll conduct regular competitor analysis to gain market insights and maintain a competitive advantage. Integrating findings into your content approach. Performance analysis and content optimisation: As part of a test-and-learn environment, you’ll regularly review performance data, iterate on your copy and optimise content to boost engagement and reduce drop-off.
About you
Key competencies and experience:
* Copywriting flair: Proven ability to craft clear, compelling messaging that drives engagement and conversion across multiple channels. You’re as happy writing an email as a social post.
* Industry experience: A solid grasp of the investment and retirement landscape (including both personal and workplace pensions) and skilled at explaining complicated products in a simple and engaging way for both B2B and B2C audiences. Ideally experience of workplace pensions and an understanding of the role of financial wellness in employer and member communications.
* Qualifications: Relevant qualification which demonstrates an ability in excellent written English, strong attention to detail and adaptable editing for various media.
* Project management: Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Curious thinker adopting a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
* Digital tools and reporting: Familiarity with email/CRM platforms (e.g. Marketo, Salesforce) and comfortable measuring performance in Google or Adobe Analytics. Able to identify trends, performance gaps and opportunities.
* Stakeholder Management: Experience in establishing effective working relationships built on trust with colleagues and external vendors. Able to effectively understand stakeholder needs, leverage open dialogue, establish clear expectations and regularly update stakeholders on progress.
* Brand and compliance know-how: Used to working to brand guidelines. Experience of working with compliance and understanding regulatory requirements in marketing.
* Team player: Enthusiastic, motivated and positive, with the drive to make an impact.
* Focus on Personal Development: Passion for personal development (technical expertise and core competencies), focused on keeping up to date with the latest technical, industry and competency trends and best practise. Proven experience of upskilling others would be an advantage.
