About the Service Our Tan Y Bryn Residential Service ( winner of the 2022 Stephenson Award for Service of the Year ) in Rhyl is a five-bedded therapeutic residential home for children and young people between the ages of 7-17 years. We provide support for young people who are likely to have experienced early childhood trauma. You would be a part of a dynamic team to support and encourage our young people to reach their full potential. Some young people may experience low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and have poor communication skills which can lead to disruptive behaviours and a positive compassionate attitude is paramount. About the role Qualified or currently working towards a level 3 in Health and Social Care, within this Residential Support Worker role, you’ll lead a team of support workers on shift, ensuring high standards of care and personalised support for the children and young people we support. This will include supporting in the absence of the Registered Manager or Team Leader, supervisions of staff, case managing and assisting in the development of the service. How you’ll create brighter futures Lead and supervise a team of support workers during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and effective teamwork. Conduct regular staff supervisions, offering guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster professional development and high-quality care. Manage and oversee individual cases, ensuring care plans are followed and regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the children and young people. Assist in service development, contributing ideas and initiatives to enhance the quality of care and support provided. Let’s talk about you Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care children and young people (or recognised equivalent) or currently working towards Experience of shift leading a team of support workers Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns as agreed via the rolling rota.
