Role Overview:
We are seeking professional, well-organized, and dedicated individuals to perform the role of a domestic loss adjuster. The role involves handling a portfolio of domestic losses, from visiting the customer to finalizing the claim. With experience and professional qualifications, you will progress to handling claims of values up to £100k. Full training will be provided.
We consider candidates with no loss adjusting experience but with the right attributes. The role offers flexible working arrangements, a competitive salary, incentives, a company vehicle or allowance, and other benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Handle a portfolio of domestic claims, visiting customers and managing claims from start to finish.
* Engage with multiple stakeholders, including policyholders, contractors, and insurers.
* Assess property damage, determine appropriate compensation, and negotiate settlements.
* Manage multiple claims efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
* Maintain confidentiality, adhere to professional standards, and demonstrate empathy and customer service skills.
* Work both independently and as part of a team, with support from technical and managerial staff.
Minimum Requirements:
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong analytical skills for assessing losses.
* Ability to handle complex situations and challenges.
* Accuracy in property damage assessment and compensation determination.
* Time management skills to handle multiple claims.
* Empathy and excellent customer service skills.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Flexibility to work away from home during busy periods.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
* Adaptability to different situations.
* Understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and property damage assessment, or a basic understanding of home insurance and construction.
