Learning and Skills Development Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated Learning and Skills Development Coordinator to lead the development of training, learning, volunteering, and work experience programs for residents of Homeless Oxfordshire. The role aims to increase self-esteem, engagement, and motivation among residents, fostering collaboration across the organization, partners, stakeholders, and the wider community.
Responsibilities include:
1. Design and implement structured training and education programs to enhance residents' skills and confidence, preparing them for future opportunities.
2. Collaborate with the LEAP team and Activities Coordinator to deliver engagement programs that support residents in moving away from homelessness.
3. Work with partners and residents to tailor training initiatives to their needs.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with local training providers, organizations, and employers to create opportunities and foster ongoing partnerships.
5. Assist in designing peer mentoring and traineeship programs.
6. Identify volunteering opportunities and support residents in accessing them.
7. Adopt a strengths-based approach to help teams and residents recognize their talents and build self-esteem.
8. Ensure compliance with Homeless Oxfordshire’s policies and procedures.
9. Promote a positive, inclusive working environment that values diversity.
10. Contribute to team efforts and organizational goals.
About LEAP:
LEAP is focused on empowering residents through supportive relationships, trauma-informed care, and community engagement. It offers activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing to foster connection and personal growth. The program supports residents in building networks, gaining confidence, and accessing training, volunteering, and employment opportunities, ultimately aiming to support 750 individuals over three years.
