Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: DSP SUPERMARKETS T/A KELLYS STORES Admin Assistant will provides essential support to ensure the smooth operation of an office or department. You will handle clerical tasks, manage communications, organise information, and assist staff and management with day-to-day administrative needs.
Responsibilities
* Administration & Clerical - manage correspondence, schedule meetings, prepare documents, and maintain records and handle office supplies and inventory efficiently.
* Communication - professional verbal and written communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette and draft accurate emails, memos, and formal correspondence.
* IT & Software - proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, data entry, and database management, operate office equipment and troubleshoot basic issues.
* Organisational & Time Management - prioritise tasks, coordinate schedules, and track multiple projects and maintain organised workspaces and records.
* Financial Support - assist with invoices, purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping and keep accurate financial and operational records.
* Problem-Solving - identify and resolve administrative issues promptly; escalate when needed.
* Customer Service & Interpersonal - greet and assist visitors professionally, manage inquiries, and build positive relationships.
* Confidentiality & Professionalism - handle sensitive information discreetly and uphold company policies.
* Attention to Detail - ensure accuracy in data entry, proofreading, and compliance with procedures.
* Teamwork - support colleagues, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive office culture.
* Other duties as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in a similar job would be advantageous.
