Wakefield Council is seeking a proactive and skilled SEND Sufficiency Delivery Officer to lead and support the delivery of strategic projects that enhance SEND provision across the district. This is a pivotal role focused on improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities through effective planning, partnership working, and service development. Key Responsibilities: · Support the planning, management, and delivery of large-scale and complex capital projects short-, medium-, and long-term -aligned to SEND sufficiency priorities. · Work collaboratively with partner agencies, and where appropriate, directly with children and families to ensure inclusive and responsive services. · Contribute to the development and implementation of robust business plans, ensuring clear accountability and performance measures. · Build strong relationships across the Children and Young People Directorate and the wider Council to align key programmes of work. · Challenge and review existing processes and ways of working to drive continuous improvement and innovation in SEND provision. What We're Looking For: · Experience in delivering strategic projects, ideally within SEND, education, or children's services. · Strong understanding of SEND sufficiency and the challenges facing local authorities and families. · Excellent communication and partnership working skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across agencies. · A solution-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
