Overview

ASSOCIATE PSYCHOLOGICAL PRACTITIONER (APP) – East Lancs Eating Disorder Service, Pendle House, Nelson. A4C BAND 5. Full-time (1 WTE; 37.5 hrs). 12 month FTC - maternity cover.


Organisation and Team

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Pendle House, Nelson, East Lancashire Eating Disorder Team. The team is part of the All Age Eating Disorder Service which covers Lancashire and South Cumbria and has links with locality teams in the Bay, Fylde Coast, Central and West Lancashire. You will join a multidisciplinary team including psychological therapists, systemic family therapist, specialist mental health nurses, a specialist dietitian and medical professionals who work with people with eating disorders.


Role and Development

You will be joining at an exciting time of development as the service improves feeding into high quality NICE compliant psychological therapies for people of all ages with eating disorders. The post holder will receive regular supervision and professional support from either a psychologist or CBT therapist. The service is committed to training and development, with support to access training in eating disorder specific CBT models if required.


Responsibilities

* Deliver low intensity CBT interventions mainly focused on eating disorders.
* Provide interventions in both 1:1 and group formats.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Applications welcome from suitably qualified Associate Psychological Practitioners who have completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Associate Psychological Practitioner (PGDip APP).
* Postholder must meet any mandatory requirements including enhanced DBS clearance.


Conditions and Benefits

* DBS clearance required (enhanced). Pre-employment checks include DBS cost to be paid by successful candidate (£55.50), deductions taken from the first 3 months salary.
