Liverpool City Council’s Private Sector Housing Service has an exciting vacancy for a Grant Admin Support Officer to join the team on a permanent contract. Private Sector Housing Service is forward‑thinking service and has a robust track record of enforcing a wide range of legislative requirements in the area of private sector housing and public health. This role will be part of the Empty Homes Team. The Empty Homes Team are a division of the Private Sector Housing Team dedicated to reducing the public health risks that vacant properties can cause and bringing vacant properties back into use.
The role includes the administration and support of the new Empty Homes Grant scheme, which offers landlords grants of between £5k and £20k to renovate their empty properties and occupy them with tenants nominated by Liverpool City Council. The successful candidate will be suitably experienced in administrative and support office functions and will have experience of working in a fast‑paced office environment.
Responsibilities
* The role of Empty Homes Grant Support Officer will provide:
o Support the New Empty Homes Grant Scheme project
o Respond to enquiries and process grant applications
o Coordinate with landlords, contractors, and internal council teams
o Provide comprehensive office support, case management, and customer service
o Ensure timely, compliant grant delivery and successful property reoccupation
