Team Manager – Memory Assessment Service
An experienced and motivated clinician to lead a skilled and compassionate team providing high‑quality assessment and diagnosis for people with dementia. The role supports individuals and families through timely assessment and diagnosis and ensures safe, effective, high‑quality service through established clinical pathways.
Key Responsibilities
* Day to day operational management, leadership, and development of MATs (Multidisciplinary Assessment Teams).
* Ensure delivery of safe, effective, high‑quality services to service users via established clinical pathways.
* Participate as a member of the Community Services Management Team for overall community‑based secondary mental health service management.
* Participate in the on‑call rota as required.
Qualifications / Experience
* NMC registered – RMN.
* Minimum 2 years relevant experience at band 6 or equivalent.
* Experience working with older adults with dementia.
* Post‑qualification experience in a relevant mental health setting.
* Experience managing teams or leading across disciplines.
Knowledge & Skills
* Knowledge of legislation, statutory and good practice guidance related to mental health.
* Knowledge of the Health and Social Care agenda in mental health services.
* Leadership and management skills to lead an integrated multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to organise, prioritise and monitor workload on self and others.
* Supervisory skills including staff appraisal and supervision.
* Effective communication and collaboration with service users, carers and other professional agencies.
* Involvement of service users and carers in service delivery, evaluation and development.
* Budget management skills.
* Extensive knowledge of dementia and its impact on service users.
