These opportunities are within well-established red meat production environments supplying high-quality beef and lamb products to retailers and foodservice businesses across the UK and internationally.
As a Slaughter Operative, you will play a vital role in the slaughter, dressing and preparation of carcasses and edible offal in line with company standards and daily production targets.

What you’ll be doing
Performing slaughter, dressing and preparation of carcasses and edible offal at line speed
Working to company SOPs, quality specifications and yield requirements
Participating in Lean Manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
Completing daily targets safely and efficiently
Carrying out pre-start, hygiene and safety checks
Minimising waste and reporting equipment issues, accidents or near misses
Maintaining tools and equipment in safe working condition
What were looking for in a Slaughter Operative
Significant experience in slaughter operations and strong knife skills
Experience in high-volume meat processing environments desirable
Ability to work in a warm production environment
Good manual handling awareness
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Flexibility to meet production demands
Team-focused attitude with a passion for food production
