The Faculty of Business & Law at Manchester Metropolitan University is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturers with expertise in the disciplines of Enterprise or Sustainability to join our Department of Strategy, Enterprise & Sustainability.

As a Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality research and education that aligns with our University's Road to 2030 strategy. You will contribute to our strategic objectives of 'Excellent Research with Impact' and 'Excellent Education,' supporting our values: student-centred, people-led, future-focused, inclusive, and Manchester Met proud.
We will accept applications for either our Education & Practice pathway (see EPC job description attached) OR Research & Education pathway (see REC job description attached). Please specify which pathway is of interest on your application.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research (REC-specific): Conduct ground-breaking research that is recognised for its originality, significance, and rigour. Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enhance impact. Seek funding for research projects and produce high-quality outputs, including publications and other discipline-appropriate formats.
* Teaching: Deliver research-informed teaching, supervision, and assessment to inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students. Provide personal tutoring and pastoral support to ensure an outstanding student experience and excellent graduate outcomes.
* Practice (EPC-specific): Advance the practice of teaching and education through inclusive, research-informed approaches that foster deep learning and student success. Champion innovative pedagogical approaches, including digital and active learning, to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
* Academic Leadership: Contribute to the delivery of departmental and faculty plans to accelerate progress against key metrics for research and impact. Provide academic leadership to individual and/or team research projects.
* Citizenship: Foster a cohesive and collegial workplace culture. Participate in committees, public engagement activities, and professional development programs. Promote equity and sustainability in your conduct.
