Hillyfield Rest Home is looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
This role is essential in supporting infection prevention and maintaining the dignity and wellbeing of our elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain residents' bedrooms to a high standard
* Clean communal areas including lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and offices
* Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and toilet facilities
* Follow infection control and health and safety procedures at all times
* Safely use cleaning equipment and products
* Report maintenance issues or hazards to the Manager
* Work respectfully around residents while maintaining their privacy and dignity
Requirements
* Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential
* Experience in a care home setting is desirable
* Good attention to detail
* Reliable, punctual, and responsible
* Kind and respectful attitude towards elderly residents
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hourly rate up to £13.00 per hour depending on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
