Factory Technician
Full Time, Monday to Friday, Based in Erith/Belvedere border
Annual Salary: £26,000-£31,000 dependant on skills & experience

Meridian Technical Services, based in Erith, is a busy and growing factory and part of a global Group with 18 sites around the world. Specialising in fire suppression cylinders. We are looking for pro-active hands-on people to join our team of Technicians.
In this busy hands on environment, the role incorporates a range of duties including yard work, operating our new cylinder processing machinery, inspection activities, paint spraying in our in-house paint shop and operating our complex cylinder filling machinery. Our gases are fire suppression gasses and are inert (non-flammable), you will receive very specific industry training for every role in our factory, we do not expect anyone to come with prior knowledge of our activities.
Cylinders processed through the factory are typically at least 5ft tall with various circumferences and the lightest weighing around 20kg. Our Technicians are required to safely move cylinders in between work stations using safe handling techniques and manual handling aids. Technicians will also help load and unload cylinders onto stillages and moving them around the yard on trollies and fork lift trucks (full training provided).
Essential skills:
* Hands on experience using basic tools and machinery, preferably in a workplace setting but we will also consider experience gained through education, hobbies and /or interests.
* Ability to follow a process and recognise anything that does not fit.
* Good communication skills.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role
Working hours
* Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm (45 min break)
* Fri 7am-2:45pm (45 min break)
