Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people within your community? If so, we are looking for people with or without experience in care to join our busy hospital to care for our patients. We will teach you everything you need to know and all we ask is that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support our patients by providing exceptional care. You'll not be doing this alone, you will join one of our dynamic and caring teams. You will work alongside many colleagues which include Healthcare Support workers & registered Nurses to name a few. Our Care Support Workers provide some of the most personal and fundamental support to our patients so if you feel the above is you then we want to hear from you.
You will support patients in various ways such as:
* toileting
* bed making
* helping people to mobilise
* assisting with patients' overall comfort
* providing encouragement to lifestyle and behaviour changes
* Replenishing stock supplies
* Preparing and cleaning dialysis equipment
It's really important to consider that some aspects of healthcare work can be distressing and unpleasant. You will be expected to help patients with personal care without being embarrassed or feeling awkward. You will need to be able to communicate sympathetically with patients, and distressed relatives, and care for patients who are very sick.
DBTH is one of Yorkshire's Leading acute trusts, serving a population of more than 440,000. Our services are based over three main hospital sites and several additional services employing over 7,000 colleagues. At DBTH we have a comprehensive framework of behaviours that guide us in our daily working lives, these form the DBTH Way. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the values of We Care and now the DBTH Way builds upon these foundations, providing further clarity on what it means to embody these values in our everyday interactions. As an organisation that supports flexible working, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
