We are seeking a driven and self-motivated electronics engineer to join our team. As our business grows, we continue to engage with a wider variety of high-performance customers, such as INEOS Britannia America’s Cup Racing yacht, as well as notable companies in the automotive field. We need the ability to adapt our products to an increasingly complex range of industrial, marine, and automotive applications. This will include adding customer-driven features, implementing new communication protocols, and integrating new sensors. As an electronic engineer at Domin, you would be expected to help drive the technical design decisions behind internal projects. You will be expected to deliver iterative design work for valve projects across cable harnesses, electronics customisation, and PCBA design updates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design new PCBAs from prototype schematic capture through to production intent implementation.
* Bring up testing of new PCBA designs to prove designs meet requirements.
* Iterate design improvements of current PCBAs to continue to push valve performance.
* Mentor junior engineers, helping develop skills and knowledge.
* 2-5 years relevant industry experience.
* A proven skillset covering mixed signal electronic circuit design, simulation, and test.
* Schematic capture and PCB design using an industry leading ECAD package.
* Lab skills including measurement and PCBA rework.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Able to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and to solve problems inside and outside their area of expertise.
* Degree level (or similar) education in Electronics, Engineering, Maths, Physics, or closely related subject.
Beneficial Requirements:
* Experience with Altium Designer including design lifecycle management in Altium 365.
* Experience of DFM, DFT, including working with internal and external suppliers to deliver prototypes, take those prototypes through a certification and verification process, and deliver the product into a volume production environment.
* Experience developing hardware for motor control for a variety of motor types and power levels.
* Experience designing systems beyond the PCBA – cable harnesses, mechanical integration, designing to customer level system requirements.
* Programming experience, ideally including C++ and Python.
Are you ready to make a real impact in a rapidly growing, high-tech business?
