About Us
We are an award-winning property developer and bespoke housebuilder specialising in small to medium-sized residential projects in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland. With a strong reputation for excellence in design, safety and build quality, we are looking to expand our team and seek a dedicated site manager for an upcoming 9-unit residential project in Bourne, Lincolnshire.
The Role
* Oversee the daily operations - all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
* Manage and coordinate site labour, subcontractors and suppliers, including resource allocation and equipment.
* All H&S compliance on site including inductions, checking sub-contractor RAMS, accident reporting and daily site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
* Carry out daily site inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
* Monitor project progress and report to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with building control and warranty providers including arranging inspections at the relevant stages.
* Maintain accurate site documentation, photos and progress records.
* Identify potential risks or delays and resolve any issues efficiently and effectively; escalate any arising matters promptly.
* Place material orders, take delivery, and distribute across the site, ensuring safe and proper storage.
About You
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader with strong management skills and technical expertise. Ideally from a trade background you will not be afraid to get your hands dirty if the occasional need arises.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a site manager on residential housing developments
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and H&S compliance.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency across Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold card), and First Aid certification required.
* Telehandler ticket
* Full UK driving licence.
