We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) Secondary School in the NE4 area of Newcastle upon Tyne. The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join their team on a full-time basis with an immediate start. Salary ranges from £140-£170 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to secondary-aged students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
* Monitor, assess, and record student progress effectively.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and wider school staff.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
* Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching English at secondary level.
* Knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs and effective SEN teaching strategies.
* Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

* Hold an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for one immediately.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Provide satisfactory professional references and complete all required pre-employment checks.
