Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial management.
Duties
The Payroll and Accounts Assistant will support the Administration Department with payroll processing and day-to-day accounting tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Monthly wages preparation to include overtime, absence, new starts and leavers
* Maintaining payroll records and responding to payroll queries
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Reconciling bank statements
* Maintaining financial records and ledgers
* Credit control and supplier payments
Essential Skills
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable procedures and tax experience related to payroll.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in accounts and payroll is preferred
* Experience in Sage Accounts and Payroll would be beneficial

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
