This role will be based near Glendevon in Scotland.
The position
The role of a Turbine O&M Technician is to support the Turbine O&M Team in delivering specific projects. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to help resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements. We are looking for candidates with a technical background in mechanical and/or electrical systems, preferably in turbines, with good fault-finding capabilities on Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic systems. Experience with Acciona wind turbine technology is highly valued.
Accountabilities
This role suits an experienced Wind Turbine Technician eager to develop their skills in high-quality maintenance activities and contribute to business growth.
Key responsibilities include effective communication both written and verbal, customer interface skills, and proficiency in preparing Risk Assessments, Method statements, and other procedures. A high level of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental awareness is required.
Flexibility to travel within the UK & Ireland depending on project needs is necessary.
Additional knowledge areas advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided, include:
* Gearbox inspections
* Specialised equipment use such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, bore scope, thermal imaging
* Blade repair
* Technical issue resolution and improvement implementation
* Main component replacements
* Tooling requirements identification
* Technical auditing & assessments
* Technical reporting and documentation
* Development and delivery of in-house technical training
* Experience in a Health & Safety focused environment
