The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to service, maintain and repair a range of plant and workshop equipment in the field. You will work from home and cover sites within approximately a one-hour radius, giving you an autonomous and flexible working structure.
You will be provided with a fully expensed company vehicle, and a food allowance when working on site.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on various plant and workshop equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repairs
Produce clear and accurate quotations for customers
Complete job reports and service documentation after each visit
Maintain tools, van stock and equipment in line with company standards
Deliver a high level of customer service on site
What we're looking for
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Strong mechanical experience in a relevant industry (plant, agricultural, HGV, construction, material handling, or industrial equipment)
Experience with fault finding, repairs and maintenance
Ability to work independently in a field-based role
A full UK driving licence
Hours of Work
40 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
