Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer. Full time.

Containment Technology Services specialise in the design, construction and commissioning of Laboratory Containment Systems for handling pharmaceutical drug compounds. So what do we need?
We are looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team. The successful candidatemay have completed an apprenticeship in Engineering and have a proven ability to use Solidworks, or a similar 3D CAD package.They willhave good attention to detail and work well as part of a small quality focused team. The candidate will be quality focused and be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and competence in Engineering Design.

Your skills
In this role you will be working on custom build projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and to the required client specification.
You will have a Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and have a recognised design engineering degree BSc or BEng, or an Engineering Apprenticeship with experience of fabrication and or CAD.You may have Solidworks certification. You will have a keen interest in new design and product prototyping and experience of validating designs and concepts.You will have experience of working with fabrication suppliers as well as be used to CAD libraries. You will also have a knowledge and understanding of quality systems and procedures within production areas.
Reporting to the Design Manager: You will be responsible for
Generating approval drawings.
Generating fabrication files.
Assist in custom builds.
Update stock component models and drawings.
Proof checking designs for fabrication
Assisting with new product design and prototyping.
Supporting the Engineering Team to:
Ensure in-house assembly and build of systems go smoothly.
Follow products through to completion with QC and Technical files.
Coordinate with fabrication suppliers on aspects of the fabrication design.
Increase productivity.
Assisting Custom Build Projects.
Liaising with Sales/Customer Support/Engineering and Customers on custom projects.
Managing Specifications, Costs and Timelines on Custom Build projects. xsngvjr
Assisting in creation of BOMs and sourcing of components and services.
