Role Overview
They are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing Manchester team. This role involves taking a lead on the electrical building services design across a variety of challenging projects.
You will be responsible for:
* Designing and delivering electrical systems across a diverse mix of projects. These include but are not limited to lighting, power, LV distribution, containment, fire alarms, small power, etc.
* Assisting senior engineers in the full project lifecycle from concept and feasibility to detailed design stages.
* Conducting site surveys and attending client meetings.
* Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
* Collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders.
* Contributing to team collaboration.
* Mentoring other junior engineers
Requirements
* A degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical design within building services.
* Experience in team leadership/management and project leadership in a consultancy environment.
* Proficiency with industry standard software: AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Amtech, etc.
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and IET/BS standards.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
