JWF staff provide engineering expertise alongside our portfolio of world class instrumentation products and services. We provide measurement products and services to support our customers' demands throughout the lifecycle of their operation.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver to kickstart their career in warehousing. Your apprenticeship will fulfil the role of Service Engineer Apprentice within the Service Team.
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to commence a 3-to-4-year engineering apprenticeship which includes both practical training and further education.
During this Apprenticeship programme, in addition to attending college part time to achieve academic qualifications, you will gain experience from working closely with our experienced engineers
You'll attain base engineering skills in the form of a SVQ Level 2 and 3 and NC or HNC.
Responsibilities
The role is to undertake calibration, servicing, testing, maintenance and repair work covering a wide range of instrumentation equipment. Responsibilities include:
* Engage with the Service team to provide proactive support.
* Ensure all service works are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
* Fault finding and diagnostics in measurement technologies.
* General technical support to customers related to instrumentation.
* To attend college and complete course work on time and to a high standard.
* To produce, maintain and be responsible for content, accuracy and sign off of log books.
* To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time.
* To understand and comply with policies and procedures.
* To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
* To comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
* Four National 5 qualifications including Maths, English & a Science.
* A strong interest in engineering.
* Ambitious & willing to learn & develop.
* Attention to detail.
* Questioning and listening skills.
* Numeracy and literacy skills.
* Planning / organising abilities.
* Confident interpersonal and communication skills.
