We at Zero2Five are proud to be working for a quality long established family ran childcare setting near Bowerhill, Melksham, looking to employ an experienced Level 3 Qualified Room Leader for their spacious and unique setting. The successful candidate will join their dedicated team in providing outstanding care to children.
Requirements For This Role
* Minimum Level 3 Early Years (UK equivalent) Qualification
* Paediatric first aid
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Thorough understanding of the EYFS and all statutory requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining at all times a high standard of professional conduct and a child centred approach to the care provided in accordance with the nursery policies, procedures, current legislation, the EYFS, registration requirements
* Support and supervise other staff within your room.
* Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
* To ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
* To actively encourage childrens progress in all areas of development, types, and stages of play, by interaction and extension of play activities.
* To be responsible for keeping the individual record file for each of the children in the key worker group, maintain accurate records including registers, sleeps charts, nappy books, home books etc.
* To be involved in curriculum planning, policy writing and record keeping as requested by the Manager.
* To encourage the participation and involvement of all parents of children attending the nursery and their childs development.
* To support the work and beliefs of the nursery by helping to create an environment that promotes open and equal opportunities for children and adults
* To ensure the provision of high standards of physical and emotional care
* To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
