The Role
A well-regarded and inclusive school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a part-time, long-term supply basis starting September 2025. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 and small group support, as well as general classroom cover across a range of year groups.
Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with additional needs
* Provide 1:1 support to students, helping them access the curriculum
* Lead small group sessions to reinforce learning and boost confidence
* Cover lessons in the absence of teaching staff, following planned materials
* Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to support inclusive learning
* Maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Be based in the Sheffield area with Right to Work in UK
* Possess HLTA qualification/equivalent experience
* Proven experience supporting pupils in mainstream or SEND settings
* Confidence delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A flexible, proactive, and compassionate approach to learning support
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
