Do you have Catering Experience or a Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds 706/1, or equivalent?
In this High School Kitchen, you will be responsible for all activities in a larger, high-volume kitchen and its surrounds, connected with the provision of catering services, including satellite services.
Your duties will include:
1. Co-ordinating staff activities within the catering environment.
2. Supervising kitchen staff.
3. Ensuring HACCP procedures are followed, with all paperwork and electronic returns completed and submitted on time.
4. Using IT systems such as cashless purchase systems, email, payroll, and council software.
5. Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.
6. Transporting and serving meals, and general kitchen and dining room duties (e.g., washing up, setting up and clearing equipment and tables, cleaning the kitchen and surrounding areas).
We currently have a temporary vacancy at Queen Anne High School, Dunfermline:
* 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am and 2:30 pm, on a 39-week contract. This post is temporary for 1 year.
Salary: £14.43 per hour to start, with additional payments for shift work, including weekends. Pay is annualized, paid in equal installments every 4 weeks.

This role involves providing meals to pupils and staff during the school day, including breakfast, morning break, and lunch.
Training on in-house systems will be provided. You will be expected to work towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate once in the role.
The Person
Do you have Catering Experience or a Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds 706/1, or equivalent?
Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme.
You should be able to provide a regular and effective service, working independently or as part of a team.
A full day of induction training will be required before starting in the role.
