Role Overview
The Business Development Director will be responsible for aggressively growing top-line revenue by winning new contracts, expanding existing accounts, and building a sustainable sales pipeline. You will lead all business development activities, from prospecting and relationship-building to contract negotiation and handover to operations.
This role is measured on sales performance and requires a motivated, tenacious individual with a strong network in the M&E maintenance and response sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Leadership & Pipeline Management
* Own the divisional sales plan, delivering ambitious annual revenue and margin targets.
* Generate, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of opportunities across PPM, reactive, and project works.
* Lead all bid, tender, and proposal activities, ensuring competitive and compelling submissions.
* Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance, reporting directly to Division MD.
* Business Development & Market Expansion
* Identify and secure new client relationships in the commercial, retail, hospitality, and industrial sectors.
* Open doors to new frameworks, FM providers, and direct-end clients.
* Represent Andwis at networking events, industry conferences, and client presentations to raise market profile.
* Client Relationship Management
* Act as key account director for high-value clients, ensuring exceptional service and repeat business.
* Drive account growth by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
* Lead commercial negotiations and ensure profitable contract terms.
* Collaboration with Operations
* Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth mobilisation and client satisfaction.
* Gather client feedback to refine offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven Sales Track Record: Minimum 10 years in the M&E sector with demonstrable success winning and growing maintenance contracts.
* Commercially Astute: Strong understanding of pricing models, contract structures, and margin management.
* Hunter Mentality: Confident in generating leads, making approaches, and closing deals at senior level.
* Excellent Negotiator: Skilled at handling high-value deals, framework agreements, and complex commercial discussions.
* Strategic Networker: Established contacts across FM, property management, and construction sectors.
* Results-Driven: Comfortable working to clear KPIs and accountable for revenue targets.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related field preferred.
* Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE, BIFM, or similar) desirable but not essential.
* Evidence of sales training, leadership development, or commercial qualifications a plus.

Basic plus bonus structure - OTE £ 90,000.00 to £105,000.00 dependant on performance + Company Car and Benefits
