Infinity Employment is seeking highly experienced Aerospace Quality Engineers to work on behalf of our industry-leading client, specializing in providing engineering solutions to various sectors. Candidates must have used FAIR inspection reports. This project will be based in Fareham for 12+ months starting in July 2025, with a high likelihood of extension. Candidates should have an aerospace background and experience within a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates may have opportunities for future projects. Position Details:
* Location: Fareham
* Duration: 12+ months, starting July 2025, likely extension
* Rate: LTD £28/hr, UMB £27/hr, PAYE £23/hr
* Hours: 37.5 – 45 per week, with overtime available
* Benefits: Free on-site parking
Principal Responsibilities:
* Complete FAIR Overcheck Inspections in accordance with quality right first-time expectations
* Support timing plans through FAIR Overcheck Inspections
* Implement productivity and cost reduction improvements
* Ensure timely supply of products to customers
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
Experience and Qualifications:
* Qualified Manufacturing / Quality Engineer
* Knowledge of aerospace quality management systems (AS9100 Revision D)
* Experience with FAIR presentation and AS9102 requirements
* Proficiency in compiling FAIR, raising balloon drawings, and using Visual FAIR and overcheck requirements
* Understanding of customer approvals and specifications (notably Airbus and GKN Rolls Royce)
* Certification: CAP (National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program)
* Knowledge of special aerospace manufacturing processes (e.g., NDT, chemical processing, welding, heat treatment) and NAD standards
* Familiarity with batch/route card systems, mill cert information (composition, temper, machining)
* Strong interpersonal, influencing, and team skills
* Knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TQM)
* Good project management skills
* Problem analysis and decision-making skills (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, DoE, DMAIC)
* Excellent IT skills
