Job overview
To effectively manage the production and delivery of a quality based daily transport plan within the Patient Transport Services Control Room in conjunction with all other transport planning areas within the Trust. To manage a team of Planners and Dispatchers and the smooth running of the transport control room in Stevenage.
Alternate weekend rota
Some flexibility with shift times may be required to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
To support and guide planning and day control staff in the effective deployment of available resources, thus ensuring patient journeys are compliant with service level agreements.
Identify improvements and implement agreed changes within area of responsibility in conjunction with Operational and Service Delivery Managers.
Liaise with the Communications Centre Team Leaders and Managers in other localities to ensure cross border activity is managed effectively.
Supervise PTS Control Room Staff. This includes return to work interviews and reviewing staff’s personal development
Develop teams to maximise flexibility of personal skills, optimum use of resources and improved performance of the service.
Create, maintain and improve effective working relationship across the Trust, with Commissioners and end users in conjunction with Operational Managers and Service Delivery Managers
Manage the day to day distribution of the quality based daily transport plan.
Ensure that information impacting on daily service delivery is shared across the team.
Proactively monitor, analyse and report on service delivery patterns and resource implications.
Monitor information within the CLERIC system and ensure it is maintained so that report generation is accurate and meaningful
