About The Job
The RN/RPN provides:
* Nursing care to psychiatric patients, working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
* Enhances quality of life for patients and families; collaborates with other healthcare providers
* Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
* Maintains and advances clinical competence
* Participates in hospital committees, research projects, and team activities
We seek a self-directed, motivated, reliable, and flexible mental health-trained nurse (RN/RPN) who enjoys teamwork and has a strong desire to learn. Experience in Mental Health or Substance Use is preferred.
Position Details
This is a Permanent Part-Time (0.54 FTE) opportunity.
Shifts include days and nights, rotating from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours.
Location
The East Kootenay Regional Hospital Psychiatric department is a 12-bed inpatient unit with 2 seclusion rooms. The team includes a leader, 3 RNs working 12-hour shifts, a unit clerk, and 2 Psychiatrists.
Cranbrook is situated on sloping plains facing the Purcell Mountains and the Rockies. It offers mild winters, more sunshine hours than other BC cities, and a vibrant community for work and recreation.
