Arts & Culture Operations Manager
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £35,000 Per Annum
Hours: 10:00 – 18:00 plus regular out of hours working (evenings and monthly Sunday events)

The Company
Our client is a bold and influential theatre company in the UK, dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices through dynamic performance, innovative digital work, and meaningful community engagement. They are now looking to recruit an Arts & Culture Operations Manager to support the ongoing growth and delivery of their work.
The Role
Our client is recruiting for an Arts & Culture Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, financial management and administrative functions of the organisation. This is a varied role requiring strong organisational, financial and people management skills, supporting the efficient running of the company and delivery of projects.
Duties will include:
• Managing day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, expense claims, supplier payments, credit control and debt management
• Liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, freelancers and funders
• Supporting production and resource management across projects and performances
• Managing and coordinating recruitment processes
• Maintaining HR records, policies and procedures including holidays and sickness
• Supporting the induction of new staff
• Line management responsibilities where required
• Managing office operations including suppliers, stationery, facilities and refreshments
• Implementing and maintaining office policies and procedures including health and safety
• Overseeing general administration including post handling and maintaining office standards
• Meeting and greeting visitors and handling enquiries
• Supporting the organisation and delivery of events and performances
• Providing administrative support to the CEO/AD
• Developing and maintaining internal systems, including asset and space management
The successful candidate:
• Experience working within theatre, culture or the creative industries
• Experience of project management and developing systems
• Experience working within accounts and financial processes
• Experience managing people and supporting recruitment
• Strong organisational and logistical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong IT skills and administrative capability
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends
Desirable:
• Bookkeeping experience
• Experience working within a busy cultural or performance environment
