Junior EstimatorSalary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annumHours: 40 hours per weekLocation: Office-basedHoliday: 28 days (including bank holidays)Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support the estimating team in the preparation of accurate and timely costings. This role involves working closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure high-quality project delivery and commercially sound decision-making.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within estimating and gain exposure to contracts, supply chain management, and client engagement.Must have previous Joinery, Carpentry or Wood working experience to be considered for this positionKey ResponsibilitiesAdministrationCreate and maintain documentation to support the production of costing and estimating informationEnsure a well-organised and efficient administrative process that supports company objectivesEnquiry ManagementReview and assess incoming enquiriesGather sufficient information to support the Estimating Manager in identifying risks, concerns, and opportunitiesHelp prioritise projects with the highest potential success and suitabilitySupply ChainDevelop and maintain relationships with specialist suppliersSupport sourcing activities to ensure customer requirements can be met effectivelyContractsDevelop understanding of contract terms and conditionsIdentify potential risks or onerous conditions within contract documentationSupport the protection of company interests through awareness of contractual obligationsClient InterfaceAssist in client meetings where requiredSupport the presentation and explanation of costings, variations, and final accountsEnsure clarity and accuracy in all client communicationsHealth & SafetyComply with all relevant health & safety legislationActively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and visitorsProfessional ConductAdhere to company dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all timesRepresent the company positively in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and suppliersProfessional DevelopmentParticipate fully in performance appraisalsAgree and follow a personal training and development plan with your line managerContinuously develop skills to support both personal and company growthBusiness ObjectivesUnderstand and work towards the company's vision and strategic goalsContribute positively to the long-term success and growth of the businessDesirable ExperienceBackground in manufacturing or engineering environmentsExperience working within furniture manufacturing or bespoke furniture environmentsExposure to production processes, materials, or workshop-based industriesAny experience within estimating, costings, or commercial support rolesStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
