Role Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager at Vision Express, you’ll support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, managing the team, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation. Your responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks such as stock ordering, cash handling and reporting, and playing a key role in creating a positive, productive work environment to meet business objectives. All colleagues contribute to our mission of helping customers ‘See More and Be More’ by providing tailored eyecare solutions.

Key Responsibilities
* Show strong leadership and management skills to support colleagues in store.
* Communicate effectively and build rapport to translate professional terminology into patient‑friendly language.
* Maintain exceptional attention to detail in customer records, prescriptions, and service recommendations.
* Collaborate with team members across the store, including Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants and Management.
* Work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast‑paced retail environment.
* Demonstrate confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm for eye care.
* Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
* Provide training and coaching sessions to colleagues to uphold our mission of helping customers ‘See More and Be More’.
