Description
Priory Hospital Kneesworth Houseis looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to join the team This is afull time 37.5 hoursrole.
Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose-built facility and spacious grounds, Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is a level 2 rehabilitation service, which provides a range of specialist recovery pathways, all at one site.
The hospital also provides acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and bespoke therapeutic placements. Priory’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
* Prepare admission packs
* Record patient admissions and discharges on the relevant IT systems
* Arrange sick certificates for patients on admission and throughout their stay as required
* Obtain patient records from other hospitals as required

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have an excellent standard of written and spoken English, along with strong IT competence in Microsoft programs. They will demonstrate a customer-focused attitude, be highly organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively. Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong team-working ethic are essential, as well as the ability to maintain professional boundaries. Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a similar setting, is desirable though not essential, and experience of working with other organisations would be advantageous.
