We're looking for a new Treasurer with operational finance experience to contribute to the wider Board of Trustees, and to provide specific financial input.

We're currently going through an exciting period of growth and expansion, starting our first trading venture as we open a Community Cafe alongside our existing services. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that we carefully manage this transition and safeguard the future of the charity, and in putting in place good processes and practices that will serve us well into the future.

What will you be doing?
About the role We're looking for a new Treasurer with operational finance experience to contribute to the wider Board of Trustees, and to provide specific financial input. In particular, the role of the Treasurer is to oversee all financial aspects of the charity on behalf of the board, and to help ensure it's short- and long-term viability, and to assist the Chair and Director in ensuring the board fulfills its duties and responsibilities for the proper financial governance of the charity. As a board member you will provide strategic input, scrutiny, and support to the team of Berin Centre staff, as well as your financial acumen, as we drive our vision forward. We're focused on carefully managing a period of growth, developing the reach and impact of our existing services, adding new provision to our offer, and working to launch a new Community Cafe. Overall, the board must always act in the best interests of The Berin Centre and the local community. About The Berin Centre The Berin Centre is a well-established hub within the Berinsfield community, providing family, community and food services to the village and the surrounding area, including family and community activities and support, a Community Larder, our Community Cafe, and hirable space for complementary services including counselling. We work alongside local people and partners to provide responsive provision, being guided by the emerging needs that we see locally.
