About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Shift Sortation Manager to join a rapidly expanding e-commerce logistics and parcel delivery network in Nottingham.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll take ownership of night sortation operations, leading a team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality parcel processing performance. You'll be joining a forward-thinking logistics business focused on innovation, sustainability, and service excellence across the final mile and last mile delivery sector.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the night sortation operation, ensuring performance, safety, and quality targets are achieved.
2. Oversee the allocation, movement, and processing of parcels to meet service level expectations.
3. Recruit, train, and develop warehouse and operational staff to build a high-performing, motivated team.
4. Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety, compliance, and operational standards.
5. Identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.
6. Monitor performance data, using metrics to make informed decisions and enhance output.
7. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support wider site performance.
Skills & Experience
8. Proven experience as a Sortation Manager, Shift Manager, Night Manager, or Operations Supervisor within parcels, final mile logistics, or e-commerce distribution.
9. Strong people-management skills - able to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced operation.
10. Confident using data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive results.
11. Hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving ability.
12. Understanding of automation or technology-driven sortation processes (advantageous).
13. Experience managing night-shift or 24/7 logistics operations preferred.
