We're making a significant investment in pricing capability with a comprehensive pricing transformation programme. This includes the implementation of new pricing software, market-leading modelling, and performance monitoring approaches. Our pricing structure is more aligned to focus on the key disciplines of technical pricing, market pricing and pricing governance. As a result, several vacancies have arisen, with a need for strong data science, actuarial and governance skills.
We're looking for a Pricing Governance Manager to join us. Reporting into the Head of Pricing Governance and Controls, you'll ensure effective pricing governance for AXA Health, implementing positive, balanced and effective pricing risk control, with a strong focus on achieving good customer outcomes whilst enabling AXA Health to meet commercial targets. This role is key in understanding regulatory requirements relating to pricing and owning key pricing documentation, whilst working with the Pricing team to ensuring policies are appropriate and adhered to.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you'll be doing:
* Implementing pricing governance strategy and approach, ensuring a balanced approach to enable AXA Health to achieve commercial objectives whilst generating positive customer outcomes.
* Owning and maintaining key pricing policy and philosophy documents, including fair pricing policy, updating and gaining sign off as appropriate.
* Providing effective support and challenge to pricing proposals as they are being developed to ensure Pricing team adhere to relevant policies.
* Proactively being aware of existing and upcoming legal, regulatory, compliance, and other internal business requirements, recommending appropriate new governance and controls.
* Ensuring accurate and timely reporting is completed to assess adherence to policies and policies, providing summary for Pricing Oversight Committee.
* Maintaining pricing risks and controls on Scala, ensuring they are up to date and accurate, reporting on effectiveness and highlighting gaps and additional controls needed.
* Coordinating Model Governance Committee and Pricing & Underwriting Committee to enable agile decision-making whilst controlling pricing risk.
* Ensuring actions from audits, technical reviews, PAPs, incidents are captured and work with action owners, Risk and Compliance to ensure completion.
What you'll bring:
* Understanding of PMI products and personal lines pricing approaches and systems.
* Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment in which the business operates and understanding of the dynamics of large organisations.
* Demonstrable resilience and experience of successfully managing multiple priorities.
* Ability to grasp and explain a range of technical concepts to all business stakeholders.
* Excellent mathematical skills.
* Solution focused, with a strong focus on delivery, and desire for continuous improvement.
* Self-motivated with a can-do attitude, valuing the contribution of others and understanding the need for collaboration.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
